Super Heroes Week

Super Hero week had to be one of my favorites so far.

We made our own super heroes to take home...

Spiderman made one awesome hero!

A Ninja Turtle puts together superhero puzzles!

Super Pirate Jake!

Super Sofia!

Super Queen Elsa!

Captain America and Word Girl diffuse some "bombs".

Our super heroes guarding the city.
(Too bad my super power isn't getting all the kids to look at the camera at the same time, lol!)

Fire Station Field Trip

As part of our Community Helpers Week, we got to visit the North Logan Fire Station.

The firefighters were very helpful.  They taught us about fire safety, showed us all the different equipment they use, and even let us check out the fire engine.

Thank you North Logan Fire Department.  You guys are AWESOME!!!

A New Year

The New Year is a good time for a little reorganization.

I can't wait to welcome back our friends!

Reindeer, singalongs, and cookies

In preparation for the holidays, the kids worked with letters to form small words.

We made snowman pictures.

We also made reindeer masks in preparation for our Christmas sing-along.

We learned a little bit about color mixing.

Have you ever seen a cuter herd of reindeer?

Parents were invited to join us for a sing-along.  We sang "Jingle Bells", "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer", and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas".

The kids helped prepare the frosting for the cookies we would decorate after the sing-along.

After lots of songs (and lots of cookies) we wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
See you next year!

The Letter J

Fun with fine motor skill building...

...Shape recognition...

...and letter J craft projects.

 J is for Jellyfish.

J is for Jewel.

Sometimes we are so busy having fun that the pictures just don't turn out :)

Thanksgiving fun

We added pumpkin pie spice to our play dough and the kids' creativity went wild.  They made a whole play dough feast!

Check out these cute little turkeys!

Here we are playing a little matching game with some of the letters we have focused on.
